This morning we woke to a sad reminder of how dangerous North Nevada Avenue is.
One of our neighbors posted this:
“Halloween vigil on Nevada.
2 pumpkins at the base of the Elm tree where the young man died in the car crash in the median in front of our home. The second one I assume is for the suicide victim I found there in early morning a year after that.”
It’s awful that it takes tragedies like these to remind us that we really need to work on making North Nevada safer for all those that live or travel on it. It doesn’t have to be this way. If we all work together, we can make North Nevada a safer street.
